Description
At Soul Sprout Mindful Care, we are dedicated to helping you and your family achieve Mental Health. We believe that Mental Health is just as important as physical health, and we treat it as such. We are committed to providing therapeutic services including individual outpatient therapy, family outpatient therapy, and couples outpatient therapy. A therapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan, with interventions tailored specifically to your needs. We believe that you should be heard, and we take supporting you very seriously.
Woomendy’s education and training include a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy through Capella University and a certification program in Trauma. She is also multi-lingual and can provide services in Haitian Creole. Her various experiences include working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Trauma is her niche, but she also works with clients who are struggling with relationship issues, difficult family dynamics, depression, anxiety-related disorders, adjustment disorder, and any symptoms that interfere with daily lives.
As someone who has been interested in the well-being of others, Woomendy always knew she wanted to be in a field where she could help individuals work on their relationships with others, and support them in working through their feelings. She is a firm believer that we all have the ability to solve problems in our lives. However, she understands sometimes traumatic events, overwhelming stress, and uncontrollable environmental factors may interfere with our capacity to solve our problems alone.
Her vision is to provide a nonjudgmental and empathetic space for individuals, couples, and families to meet their needs and achieve their goals. She looks forward to saying, "It would be my pleasure to be your clinician."
She is not currently affiliated with insurances, however, she does work with self-pay clients for individual, family, and couples therapy on a sliding scale.
