In our fast paced society we often don't take the time to care for ourselves. We eat too much, exercise too little, don't get enough sleep, and still wake up each day to take on a ton of responsibilities. Life never stops coming at us and at times we may find ourselves feeling stressed, unhappy, or overwhelmed. After awhile, living this way can take a toll on our physical and mental health. I work with individuals interested in reworking the way they think and behave in order to reduce mental strain, fell better equipped to take on their responsibilites, and work through any grief or personal challenges they may have.
I believe in choosing a therapeutic approach best suited for each individual and their situation. My eclectic style could include aspects of behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution focused techniques. I am also a fan of caring for our entire selves and may assist you in exploring holistic options available for meeting your goals.
Coming to therapy for the fist time might not feel very natural and can be anxiety provoking for some. I put great effort into creating a warm and welcoming environment and use a simple conversational therapy style conducive to helping ease tension and foster trust.
