I’m a firm believer that at any given moment we are doing the best we can. The tools and understanding we have about ourselves and others at the present moment are all we have. And when the thought patterns, beliefs, actions, and habits that have gotten you through tough times before are no longer serving you, you might feel stuck. You might be wondering how to make meaningful changes in order to move forward in life.
Therapy can help.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process where I will partner with you in order to work towards your own personal goals. Effective therapy stems from a strong therapeutic alliance, therefore I prioritize OUR relationship and strive to foster an open and supportive environment where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and earned my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University. I specialize in working with individuals, relationships, and families who present to therapy with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, couple/family conflicts, parenthood, and life transitions. I have a special interest in working with mothers/birthing individuals who are struggling with issues related to perinatal mental health such as infertility, pregnancy loss, and prenatal/ postpartum anxiety and depression. I am currently obtaining further certification and training through Postpartum Support International.
My approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, and strengths-based. I bring authenticity and genuineness to the therapy space and encourage you to also show up as your whole self. I utilize a variety of interventions from different models of therapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to best support your goals.
Outside of my role as a therapist, I am a mother, dog lover, and a (very) amateur DIY-er and baker! I love getting out and exploring but also enjoy time at home with a good book or show.
I look forward to partnering with you in order to work towards moving forward in your life with intention and wellness!
