Allow me to introduce myself. I am a dually licensed independent marriage and family therapist and professional counselor specializing in attachment based therapy with individuals, couples, adolescents, professionals, and athletes in Ohio, Texas, and Michigan.
I pride myself on being a MFT trained in systems based approaches to psychotherapy which include emotionally focused therapy (EFT), Gottman therapy, and brainspotting therapy (BSP) for all clients including athletes, creatives, and business professionals.
In my 9 years of practicing, have learned that looking at things and processing issues through a systemic lens with my clients goes smoother, causes deeper lasting change, and substantially improves lives and relationships!
I understand that you are tired and overwhelmed with life's demands. I have been there myself. As Black women, it seems we have to "fight" from the time we are born to the day we die. You have to be strong, but then we can't be "too" strong.
Maybe you feel you have no direction. Your career isn't where you thought it would be. The pandemic has you down and exhausted. Your relationship is not what you expected and no longer feels satisfying or “meant to be.”
You are struggling to be the patient mother you thought you’d be, or you’re just plain exhausted by all the pressures of womanhood. If we let it, life will put us on an emotional roller coaster! We all need help to transform those painful emotions into ones that are healing and empowering.
Even if you’re not experiencing turmoil, how do you stay on top? How do you protect your mind, your heart, or your child, or relationship?
I am here to help you release anxiety and depression, and finally breathe again! I will help you be assertive in your life and create the life you want to live.
I want you to learn that the purpose your emotions serve, is to push you towards the wholeness you seek! You don't have to journey this trail alone.
No matter what we go through in life, I believe we can be happy, fulfilled individuals when our key relationships with others are healthy, and that we become the opposite when our relationships are difficult and draining. One of the most important relationships you will have in your life will be the therapeutic relationship you have with your therapist. Make sure you choose with your heart and your mind.
If you're ready to gain peace and control again, visit my website to learn more about therapy with me. I want you to know that I believe in the power of strong beings, strong marriages, and strong families. Strong doesn't always have to mean carrying burdens, pushing through, and working yourself to death. I get it, and I understand and relate to the pressures of loss, grief, relationships, parenting, social injustice, family and cultural or religious stressors, illness, injury, and the pressures of work, school, or sports performance.
I also conduct two-day couples therapy intensives and facilitate Hold Me Tight® Couples Workshops. It brings me joy to strengthen our community from the inside out by attending to our mental, emotional, and attachment based needs. I am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate offering clinical supervision in couples and family therapy.
My practice is located at 670 Meridian Way, Suite 152, Westerville, OH 43082. We are currently only seeing clients and holding workshops online.
