I’ve always wanted to help others so becoming a therapist was the natural path for me. I can honestly say that I love my job and feel truly honored to be able to help you overcome and evolve. Change is difficult and requires an environment where the client can feel a connection to the therapist through genuine interaction. It is within this safe space that a client can feel comfortable to reflect and discuss difficult feelings.
As a black girl I’ve struggled in the past to find the therapist who was able to validate these difficult and most times varying feelings and or opinions. I’m so honored to come full circle and assist other black girls blossom while exploring heavy topics. To assist you in your search, journey or exploration or the past or your future endeavors. I would like the opportunity to help you!
I would describe my therapeutic style as eclectic tailoring my interventions to my meet clients individual needs. I have a tremendous amount of experience working with trauma and depression but I also enjoy teaching life skills such as interviewing and resume writing. I would describe myself as funny, energetic, nurturing and emphatic. I have a lot of life experience and don’t scare easy. Oh and you can take your braids down during your session if you need sis!
