Meet our team:

✨ Jessica G. Smith, MSW, LCSW-BACS - I am the founder and CEO of Vibrant Minds Therapy & Consulting and a North Louisiana native.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing services in Louisiana and Texas. With 14+ years of experience, my background is rooted in working with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds. These experiences have afforded me the opportunity to provide services to people during vulnerable times in their lives.

I aim to help you find balance and empower you to persevere. I provide a genuine and authentic approach, and I hope this approach keeps you engaged and motivated to seek change in your life.

✨ Kertrigus Thomas, MSW, LCSW - I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Louisiana. I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of General Studies minoring in Arts and Social Sciences from the Louisiana State University in Shreveport and in 2019 with a Masters of Social Work from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. I have worked with adults and children in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings for 8 years.

My passion for social work started when I recognized the stigmas and stereotypes associated with seeking mental health treatment. It was then that I realized that many people feel alone and are afraid to admit that there's a problem. I found that it is my purpose to help these individuals find a solution by empowering them to overcome their challenges head-on. I strive to offer you the best care while providing you with a safe space to reach your mental health goals.

The Substance Abuse Education group is designed to educate those who may have experiences with alcohol and other drugs. This group may be right for you if you have experienced a DUI/DWI or substance-related conviction. We will assist you with increasing your knowledge about alcohol and other substances that could have a negative impact on your life; identify your own individual drinking/drug use patterns; and assist you in developing plans to reduce the probability of future substance abuse behavior.
