Description
Uzo is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner licensed to care for the needs of clients across the lifespan. She comes from a family of many medical professionals.
Uzo began her career as a registered nurse in family-centered care which increased her awareness of the needs of those afflicted with mental illnesses. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University School of Nursing, a Bachelor's in Business from Houston Baptist University, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. Uzo utilizes a holistic and evidence-based approach in treating the mental health needs of her clients. She provides compassionate, and culturally sensitive care.
She works with her clients to develop a treatment plan which includes medications (with supportive therapy) and psychoeducation. She specializes in depression, anxiety, sleep issues, panic attack, social anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar, mood disorder. As a mental health nurse practitioner, Uzo has worked with clients in private practice, skilled nursing facilities, and law enforcement.
I provide mental health and psychiatry services to teenagers (13-18), young adults/college students, and adults.
I will meet you wherever you are in your journey and will not judge. I will listen to you and come up with a treatment plan to help you get better. Whatever the situation or circumstances, you should never feel alone. I assist by providing support and promoting healing. I will focus on your strengths during the course of treatment.
