It is possible to recover from trauma and the internal pain that comes with it. At some point, most of us will live through a terrifying event. It could be a car accident, a natural disaster, a medical emergency—or perhaps a trauma inflicted by another person in the form of assault or abuse. However, it is that conversation we have with ourselves in our private experiences that determines how we cope and relate to the world. Too often that internal conversation turns to self-blame or feelings of shame. I work to treat trauma and the shame that can often come with it. This is important as shame associated with trauma can be the underlying biggest hindrance to making progress in therapy, recovering from trauma, building positive relationships, and moving forward with life. I want to be honest with you and let you know I cannot change your past or certain life circumstances, or the hurtful things that others may have done or said to you. But if you let me I can offer you tools that will empower you to tell your story and help you to find peace, insight, and motivation to move forward so you can begin living your best life. It is possible to recover from trauma and the internal pain that comes with it. I am 100% virtual therapy for those currently in California.
