Description
Welcome to Ubuntu Health Advocates. We are your premier destination for mental health care and advocacy as well as patient navigation services.
Who we are is wrapped up in our name. The word Ubuntu is derived from the Nguni languages of Southern Africa which asserts, "umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu." This is roughly translated as "a person is a person through other persons." The Xhosa precept "Ubuntu ngumtu ngabanye abantu” has no direct English translation but speaks to the quality of being human. In other words, "I am because we are." We do not live in isolation. We believe this means our nation is healthier when each one of us is healthy.
Appropriate mental health care is your right and we aim to deliver it utilizing a person-centered care model. We are here to walk with you. Welcome to your path to clarity, resolution, and optimum health.
