Hello, my name is Tyra Hughes and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I live and work in the Bay Area of California. For over twenty years I have worked as a social worker for children and families in the foster care system. In addition, since 2017, I have been a licensed therapist and I have experience providing therapy to children, adults, and couples in English and Spanish. I also supervise others on their journey to becoming therapists.
I have a BA in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Social Work from San Jose State. In addition to my formal education, I take trainings to help me grow as a therapist on a regular basis. Personally, I am a single mother to two teenagers and I love nature, travel, and sports. I look forward to working with you if you feel we would be a good match.
