"Perceptive, insightful, intuitive and empathetic” are some of the words my colleagues, clients and students use to describe my work with them. I have experience working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life altering events as well as adolescents and children in crises. I earned my MSW at the Rutgers School of Social Work and continue to train, teach and educate students. I work with all ages and populations and have working knowledge and experience with BIPOC populations and diverse ethnic groups of African, Latina/o/x and Indian descent within the Caribbean Diaspora.
My formal training is in psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy yet I do have experience in various therapeutic approaches. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the past 17 years working with individuals with a whole range of diverse presenting issues.
My priority when working with clients is to make sure that they know they are valued in our work together. Life can be difficult, joyful, rich, textured and full of challenges. Developing coping skills and cultivating strength in the areas of your life that need support is vital, and I am here to navigate all of those sacred spaces with you.
