Tonya Shuman is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Center Point. She obtained her Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in 2014 and has experience in treating a multitude of emotional and behavioral health issues across all age ranges. She’s worked successfully with children experiencing ADHD and social skills deficits as well as children, adolescents, and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, sexual trauma, physical and emotional abuse, self-esteem and self-image issues. She is a certified clinical anxiety treatment professional for children and adolescents. She utilizes Person Centered Therapy, play therapy interventions and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Trauma-Focused CBT to help her clients progress. She listens without judgment, guides, encourages, supports and helps her clients discover how to use their inner strengths to heal and move forward in life.
