I am taking new clients, providing online sessions!
I am a licensed graduate professional counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland with a background in mental health and human services. I attended Grand Canyon University and obtained a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. With training in trauma-informed care and mental health first aid, I have a thriving interest in providing individual and group therapy to minorities navigating issues with trauma, emotional and behavioral health disorders. I've previously worked with at-risk youth, the homeless population and adults in various clinical settings including a crisis center, inpatient unit, residential/group home, private practice, non-profit community-based organization and an employee assistance program (EAP).
I've facilitated individual and group counseling with children, adolescents and adults. I have experience supporting individuals with development and mental health disorders including but not limited to: ADD, ADHD, ODD, Autism, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, PTSD and Substance Use Disorders. I believe in maximizing the counseling experience by following a holistic approach which integrates the body, emotions, mind, and spirit to support clients in making powerful, lasting changes in their lives. I am passionate about being a helper and working collaboratively with clients through evidence-based practices such as CBT, Person-Centered and Solution-Focused interventions to improve overall well-being.
