In my experience, building an authentic, trustworthy therapeutic relationship between a therapist and client is essential. I create a warm, safe, and supportive environment that opens the door to help clients achieve their desired life outcome. I focus on helping clients discover their strengths, develop healthy lifestyles, and build a support system. I also draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation.
I am eclectic and use a blend of cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, reality-based, and psychoeducation. I have worked with clients of all ages, including kids, teens, young professionals, and adults. A holistic approach is utilized by exploring with and educating clients about how mind, spirit, and body are interconnected. During the initial session we will discuss goals for treatment as broad or as specific as you prefer.

Trust the Process Group: “To be seen, to be heard, to be understood.”
A process group for brown girls ages 12-18, addressing the stigma surrounding mental health issues and therapy preventing brown girls/young women from speaking on concerns and emotions. This group is designed to provide structure for young brown girls struggling with social interaction during the global pandemic along with consistent Black Lives Matter (BLM) media controversy. This group is to provide girls with a safe place to process cultural concerns, development of healthy racial self-identity, family dynamic, consensual validation, social and racial injustice. Members are encouraged to utilize this group to network and connect with each other, to pose questions and support each other.
