Choosing to seek support in the healing and recovery journey is seldom easy. It is an intentional and powerful choice that can lead to self-discovery, change and growth. As a therapist, I strive to foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes empowerment and encouragement to overcome life’s challenges and experiences. Whatever the reason is that you are considering therapy, know that it is courageous to take the necessary steps to focus on your healing.
I bring an ENGAGING and INTERACTIVE approach to therapeutic relationships. I believe in meeting my clients where they are and tailoring a therapeutic approach that best meets their needs. My approach tends to be an eclectic mix of cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. I am currently pursuing certification and training in Art/ Phototherapy. It's okay to laugh, talk, and genuinely enjoy YOUR time of working on difficult complex situations and issues. Together we work on those necessary changes by learning techniques, tools, skills, and guidance to achieve your obtainable goals.
My background consists of a BA in Communication with a minor in Women and Gender Studies, MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Certification of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I have experience treating adults and adolescents 16 and up with the following issues: Anger, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Chronic Illness, Life Changes, Family Conflict, Women's Issues, Men's Issues, Self Esteem, Stress, Trauma, and PTSD.
You do not have to take on life challenges alone. ALL of YOU, is the BEST of YOU!
