You have a large friend and/or family circle but you somehow you still feel alone. No matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to escape the feeling that you are trying too hard to be in relationships. You have big feelings but struggle with expressing them for fear of judgement or criticism. So you hold things in and try hard to be your own best friend, but lately you’ve found that’s not working. You’re exhausted. Stuck. Overwhelmed. Angry. Resentful. Disappointed. Sad. This life, the way that you’re living it right now, is not what you planned or imagined for yourself. You yearn to unravel the tangled ball of yarn in your mind and heart to make some sense of your journey so you can figure out what’s next.

Imagine a space free from judgement, full of empathy, support, patience, grace and compassion. A space where you can shed all of the protective layers and let go of all of the things that you’ve bottled up to get back to YOU. I can help.

I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Michigan and my Master’s Degree in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Rehabilitative Counseling at Wayne State University. I work with teens and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, stress, relational issues life-transitions and self esteem challenges to achieve their personal, career, and independent living goals. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered and Solution- Focused Therapy. However, I also work within a diverse range of theoretical orientations based on individual needs.

Relationship is the engine of the healing process. By building a trusting therapeutic relationship, I endeavor to help you express and better understand your feelings and to learn new ways to respond and cope in tough and/or triggering situations. There is nothing wrong with big, little or even medium sized feelings. What matters most is the way we choose to respond to them. I look forward to working with you and assisting you with any difficulties or life transitions you may be facing. Please know that you’re not alone! I appreciate your courage to grow and be better than you were yesterday.
