I am a Licensed Professional Counselor born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. I have been active in the field for over 5 years, my professional life has always been that of the helping professions. I graduated from Alverno College with my Masters in Community Psychology in 2014. I have worked with a broad spectrum of client populations and assisted individuals of diverse backgrounds via individual, group and family counseling. The concerns and or issues I have addressed include: anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment disorder, abuse, family relations/conflict, relationship issues, mood disorders, self-esteem, and ADHD to new a few.
As a therapist it is important to be relational, flexible, empathic , yet effective. My style of counseling is meeting clients where they are and fostering the ability to grow into their best selves. My approach is inviting and interactive. I believe in challenging clients if need be to establish psychoeducation, responsibility and accountability with respect and a compassionate delivery. My therapeutic approach derived from Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Mindfulness Therapy. Overall, the best approach is tailored to meet the needs of the client and is created to allow comfort in the therapeutic setting and allow for effectiveness and progress.
Though we live in a society where mental health was once taboo, taking the step to embark on the path of self-discovery and self-care is courageous and profound. This is where resiliency is fostered and growth begins. If you are ready to seek the help you deserve and are ready for change, I am here to support and guide you through your journey.
I look forward to working with you!
