Making the decision to seek therapy can be frightening. However, finding the right therapist can be just as daunting, if not more. You have to find someone willing to help hold the umbrella as you walk through all the rain life pours on you. One thing I can promise, is that even after the worst storms, the sun will shine again. I’m here to help you overcome the storm.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), who graduated from McDaniel College with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. I have 5 years of experience in the mental health field through working at Sheppard Pratt Health System. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings such as inpatient, outpatient, residential treatment facilities, and schools. I have also worked with a range of diagnoses (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, ADHD, trauma, substance abuse, behavioral issues and autism.
My belief of therapy is that the therapeutic relationship is best experienced when it’s a collaborative effort from both the therapist and the client. This type of relationship will help guide the therapist and client to the best possible plan of action as it relates to coping strategies, interventions, and treatment goals. Therapy also provides an encouraging and supportive environment for clients which promotes change and personal growth. As a therapist, I aim to provide a safe and supportive space to assist and guide clients who are seeking to change and improve their mental health.
