Shirley Barthelemy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both Florida & Colorado. She is a Certified Addictions Professional and Certified Addiction Professional. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. She holds a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Shirley has over 10 years of diverse experience in the mental health and substance abuse community.
Shirley’s passion is to work with women and their families to help them discover new possibilities and purpose throw empowerment and self-discovery, despite what they may have experienced emotionally, mentally and physically.
Her goal is to help women and their families learn how to navigate through life transitions and cope with change in a healthy way. She creates a therapeutic atmosphere where they can feel safe an experience a sense of validation and freedom to express themselves without being judged and re-victimized. Shirley helps them practice self-love and recognize their importance despite their painful past experiences. She works as a guide to help women and their families develop a vision of the future they desire to have. She understands that every client is unique, therefore she uses therapeutic approaches/techniques that tailor to each client to meet their specific needs.
