Description

Are you feeling isolated, alienated, stressed, anxious, depressed, and/or othered? Are you struggling to find a therapist who really understands the intersections of your identity as a Black woman and/or Black queer individual? Or a person in a close relationship with an individual with a marginalized identity? You deserve a therapist who looks like you and sees you for who you truly are. I'm here to be that therapist for you.

I'm Sherri, the founder of S.C. Nash Counseling & Consulting, a group practice on the mission to bridge the gap between Black women, Black queer individuals, and the therapists who can serve them best. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, racial trauma, exploring your gender identity, navigating non-monogamy, or anything in between, my goal is to foster a safe and welcoming place for you to be you.

As a survivor of intergenerational trauma and spiritual abuse myself, I understand what it feels like to look around for help and struggle to find it. My goal as your therapist is to fill that void. I invite you into a space of integrated healing.

Your identities are honored and accepted here. My therapeutic approach integrates the intersections of your experience, so you can heal in wholeness through acceptance and authenticity. Some of the modalities I employ include EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Emotional Processing, CBT, and Person-Centered Therapy.

I specialize in serving individuals struggling with trauma, adolescent adversities /trauma / neglect, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, racial/biracial issues, gender issues, ADHD, and issues of polyamory/non-monogamy.

(polyamory/non-monogamy coaching is NOT covered by insurance)
