I am, Shatiah, a Licensed Professional Counselor and I am passionate about helping clients reach their treatment goals. Outside of behavioral health care and in my free time, I enjoy being a homebody and all of the peace that comes with it, activity nights with my family, and listening to music.
In Therapy, I operate with the belief that my clients are the experts in their life and I am the professional. We work together to maximize clients reaching their goals in therapy. I rely on the client's expertise in their life experiences as much as they rely on my professional knowledge, compassion and skill sets in therapeutic sessions. I know my clients possess an inner strength and resiliency that promotes the groundwork for therapy. My welcoming, compassionate, and relaxed counseling style creates an environment where patients feel understood and valued, and where they can be their authentic selves without fear of judgment.
