Description
LMFT, LAADC-CA, M-RAS, DV VICTIM ADVOCATE TRAINED:
I have over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, teens, individuals, couples, and families from culturally diverse populations on a wide range of issues and concerns. It is my belief that once the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is understood, one is then able to modify or change their pattern(s) of thinking to cope with stressors in a more positive manner.
My approach is collaborative. I believe that by working together, a positive outcome is achievable. provide a warm, open, non-judgmental environment where one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are explored and discussed in an objective, respectful, empathetic manner.
Four things I want you to know before you begin therapy with me:
1. I want treatment to work just as much as you do.
2. I am not judging you, and need to hear all of your truth(s) in order to best support you. You can't heal what you won't reveal.
3. I will not fight you for your healing.
What that means is: I will not work harder than you do. However, I will be right there beside you as we navigate your mental health journey together.
4. If you don't connect with me, that's okay. Don't be afraid to try someone new, and to keep trying until you find the right fit.
I look forward to working with you!
