Description

Are you a woman of color and you find yourself struggling with managing your emotions, forming healthy relationships, low self-esteem, or feelings of shame or guilt? Or maybe you are a parent or guardian of a child, pre-teen, or teenager that has difficulty with adjustments happening around them and they are struggling with regulating their emotions, communicating, or socializing with others?

If you find yourself or your child navigating through life with these struggles it would be my honor to work with you or your child. I help women of color unpack complex trauma’s impact on their present-day life so they can develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. I also work with children and adolescents who are struggling with emotional regulation to develop helpful coping, communication, and social skills.

I am a trauma-informed therapist and assist my client’s in getting back in touch with the needs of their mind and body. When working with youth I utilize play, sandtray, art, and music interventions to help them express themselves and learn new skills.

In my practice, I show up as my authentic self and will walk alongside you as we explore your past, understand your present and create your future. I believe we all have inherited strength and power that we sometimes cannot see for ourselves. My hope is that with time and the power of human connection my clients are able to learn more about themselves and love themselves wholeheartedly.

*I am a National Certified Counselor, LPC-Associate supervised by Michael Cox LPC-S.*
