Hello, my name is Selena Lemons of SCBL Counseling and Consulting LLC. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Master Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP). The philosophy I utilize is meeting the client where the client is. My job is to assist client in developing additional healthy coping skills. I will also assist clients with managing, improving and or eliminating symptoms. The style I utilize is a holistic style based on the client and the specific issues. The approaches utilized include Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT).
I have experience providing educational trainings on mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Experience includes working with inpatient, residential, outpatient, in-home and telehealth clients. Additional experience working with teens, veterans, men, youth, families, adoption/foster care, elderly, pregnant/ post-partum women, domestic violence, high risk populations, homeless population, substance abuse, mental health and co-occurring clients.
