Description
Breathe…there is an ancient Sanskrit symbol that symbolizes this beautiful reminder to do what comes naturally, breathe. It is the first thing we do when we come into this world, and the last thing we do when we leave it. However, life has a way of showing up and making this simple task harder than it seems. The result is…we suffer in silence.
Seeking therapy is a difficult decision to make but know that you are exactly where you are supposed to be. I will walk with you through this journey of discovery and together we will explore your desires and work to build a healthy foundation that will empower you to make positive changes in your life. My approach is one of compassion, non-judgment, yet direct. I strive to create an environment where you will feel supported in your journey to healing. I use a family systems approach as well as motivational interviewing to name a few.
About me…I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Candidate. I have a bachelor’s degree in human resources with a minor in Psychology. I also hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Most importantly, I am human and I have been where you are at this very moment!
As a therapist of color, it is important for me to promote the well-being of people in the BIPOC community. Addressing the lack of quality care these individuals receive greatly impacts their mental health and I want work to change this narrative. In addition, it is important to me that people are heard and understood no matter their circumstances, rich, poor, none of that matters when you are suffering.
Today is the day to choose you. Step into your greatness and let me help navigate you through. I look forward to working with you.
