There are various factors that shape who we are and how we navigate life, whether it be our past experiences, cultural identity, family/societal roles, and etc. Sometimes we need a little support connecting to who we truly are underneath all the noise. We can work together to declutter that bag of stress and repurpose the contents in a way that will allow for healing, growth, and room to reconnect to yourself and others.
I have personal and professional experience working with identity issues that arise for multi-ethnic/multi-cultural individuals and couples. I find it rewarding collaborating with others to help them build self-acceptance, re-author painful experiences, and use it as their strengths.
As an Art Therapist, I have the benefit of incorporating the use of various materials to add another dimension of communication and exploration to the work we do together.
