Description
I am a licensed child, adolescent, and adult psychologist who enjoys supporting individuals from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. I center treatment around your values and strengths, and we explore how psychotherapy can support you in learning to navigate any barriers to achieving important life goals. As an engaging, compassionate listener, I create a comfortable environment for you to share personal experiences and concerns. In our work together, you can expect to develop greater self-confidence, grow coping skills for difficult emotions, explore and foster acceptance towards the complexities within your identity, and expand your ability to live the life you desire.
I specialize in using evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies (DBT) to support my patients. In addition to offering individual therapy to residents of NY, MD, DC, and VA, I am also the director of the Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Healing program at The Ross Center. For those who have experienced racial stress, I created a novel therapy approach that promotes empowerment, self-acceptance, and healing. I also offer 3 virtual groups for members of the BIPOC community where cultural backgrounds are respected and unique lived experiences are validated and understood.
