What should someone know about working with you?
To get to where you need and want to be, my sessions consist of teamwork based on what works for you. In our nonjudgmental, secure space of comfort and with you as the captain, we will discover different experiences, feelings, and thoughts. At times, I will challenge you to dig deeper, but I will support you every step of the way. During our intake, I am interested in hearing about current stressors and past events that have led you to me today. We will have the opportunity to develop a treatment plan by identifying obtainable steps and developing coping skills. If needed, we can work with other professionals to maximize your progress. I have worked with several psychiatrists, nutritionists, and other healthcare practitioners in the past, aligning ourselves to our common goal. Together, we will be a team through the process of healing.
What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to try therapy?
First, I want to acknowledge that it takes tremendous courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. It is my belief that one's experience does not define them but instead teaches them something new about themselves. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support you — growth and change will come!
