Raquel is a solution-focused, strength based, client centered therapist who is dedicated to making a positive impact on clients and their overall well-being. She has an innate ability to connect and relate to individuals from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds with expertise working with people of color.

Since earning her Master’s Degree at San Diego State University, Raquel has worked with at-risk youth involved with CWS and Juvenile Probation. She has extensive experience working with youth who have behavioral issues, substance abuse, anger management, severe mental illness, gender identity issues, and commercially exploited youth (CSEC). Throughout her experience, Raquel has learned the importance of ensuring that youth’s voices are heard during the therapeutic process and they are empowered to continue using their voice in positive and effective ways in everyday life. She is also dedicated to working with parents and families as support during the reunification process as well as helping reduce recidivism rates.

Raquel specializes in clients facing severe mental illness, depression, substance abuse, anger and stress management, healing from generational trauma and sexual orientation and gender identity issues. She is committed to working collaboratively with clients and families during the therapy process to help her clients succeed and create lasting change.
