Rainey Small (she/her) is a licensed therapist at Forward Together Counseling in Silver Spring, MD working with adults and older teens (16+) across Maryland and DC, in person and via telehealth.
Rainey specializes in anxiety, life transitions, and depression, with a particular focus on BIPOC individuals and therapists and counseling interns navigating the unique pressures of the profession.
She works with people dealing with relationship stress, work and school pressure, and the disorientation that comes with major life changes.
Her approach is person-centered, practical, and tailored to each client. Rainey brings warmth and humor to difficult conversations, creating space where clients feel genuinely seen while also making real progress. Sessions focus on building stability, developing practical tools, and finding movement where things feel stuck.
