The first thing I tell clients is that “I don’t believe in therapy, I believe in relationships.” From the moment you walk into the room with me, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, valued, held, and respected. I don’t believe that a therapeutic relationship has to look one way or that the “rules” that apply to traditional therapy are in the best interest of all participants. I am a full person in the room who holds space for you to come as your full self as well. Majority of the work I do is around helping folks step into and embrace their full authenticity and the inner freedom that comes from living as your whole self. I work specifically with folks of color, helping them to navigate and explore their own identities, identify and maximize their strengths, and find and live their own truths.
I am a new transplant to the Texas area by way of Chicago. While in Chicago I trained at one of the premier practices for working with different identities, primarily within the LGBTQ community. While my practice isn’t exclusively working with folks within this community, I do enjoy working with those who consider themselves “different” in any way. Whether that be because you are gifted, because you hold various marginalized identities, or because you’ve just never felt seen or accepted, LFH is a safe space to come be seen, heard, valued and lifted up. I primarily work with people in their 20s and 30s looking to understand themselves better, work through past trauma, and explore their purpose in this life. I integrate a number of healing modalities to best serve the needs of my clients and work to empower you to become your own best healer. My passion is helping clients to explore what spirituality (not religion) means to them and better understand how to connect to one's own intuition and utilize this as a resource in their own lives.
As a newcomer to the Fort Worth community with a background in helping folks navigate life transitions, I am here to serve others who have recently (or semi-recently) moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area as well and are struggling to adapt or find community. Other areas of specialization include: BIPOC identity development/exploration, trauma, depression, spiritual development/recovery from religious trauma, grief/loss, life purpose exploration and life transitions.
