I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Domestic Violence Professional. I am from Chicago, IL, where I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago and my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Illinois State University. Throughout my career, I have had experience in working with clients who have trauma and stress related issues, anxiety, depression and mood related issues, adolescent/behavioral issues, school issues, self-harm, self-esteem, life adjustments/daily stressors, anger management, and family/relationship issues.
I mainly utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but I also incorporate other therapeutic interventions as needed for each individual client to ensure their needs/wants are being met. As a person-centered, goal-oriented therapist, my therapeutic approach is personalized yet collaborative. You are not alone, and I am ready to go through this journey with you!
While therapy can be intimidating, I believe everyone can benefit from it. My hope is to provide a space where you feel safe, heard, valued, and supported. My purpose and passion is to enhance the quality of life for those who see it fit; thus, I am here to help you cope with feelings, gain new insights, and be a greater version of yourself. Our therapeutic relationships are rooted through trust, compassion, cultural competence, and effective communication.
