Description
In 2016 Porsche Peak Gordin founded Peak Behavioral Health with the goal of improving access to mental health services among marginalized groups of people by providing online mental health services. It was not until 2019 that services were offered out of the Little Canada, MN Clinic and that the Peak team began to grow.
As black woman, Porsche believed by cultivating a team culture where diversity and collaboration matters, she and the Peak team could together move the needle of reducing the stigma and also shifting the dialogue around mental health conditions.
Porsche believed by improving representation and normalizing mental health conditions she and her team would help further reduce the stigma and also shift the dialogue around mental health.
The core of Peak Behavioral Health was founded on the belief that if we can advocate, educate and show-up for those who cannot, we are doing our part. We want to show up for and be the voice for those in our community by considering how our social and economic climate also impact our mental wellness.
At Peak, we have a very diverse team of mental health providers who are LGBTQ+ affirming, Trauma-trained, culturally-competent, Second generation/Family of Origin trained, etc.
We accept HealthPartners, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Plus, MA, UCare, Cigna, Medica, United HealthCare, UBH, and Optum. We also accept private pay and offering a sliding scale.
