After working in the mental health for several years, Porsche founded Peak Behavioral Health in 2016. Porsche was inspired to found her own mental health clinic as she realized the disparity of mental health treatment among underrepresented and underserved communities.
As an African American woman of color, Porsche believed by improving representation and normalizing mental health care she would help further reduce the stigma and also shift the dialogue around mental health conditions.
The core of Peak Behavioral Health was founded on the belief that if we can advocate, educate and show-up for those who cannot, we are doing our part. We want to show up for and be the voice for those in our community by considering how our social and economic climate also impact our mental wellness.
We accept HealthPartners, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Plus, MA, UCare, Cigna, Medica, United HealthCare, UBH, and Optum. We also accept private pay and offering a sliding scale.
