I am a warm, caring, and compassionate Therapist with experience in working with Black and Brown young adults and young professionals. I am passionate about social justice and human rights and I consider myself culturally, developmentally, and trauma informed in order to assist and guide individuals towards growth, resiliency, and a sense of healing. I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychoeducation, and Solution-Focused Therapy to assist clients in their healing journey. I have extensive experience treating clients with depression, anxiety, irritability-related and impulse-control symptoms, low self-esteem, relationship conflicts, physical and emotional abuse histories, stress management, and racial stress/trauma.
Having graduated from Erikson Institute with my Masters in Social Work, I believe in looking at and processing an individual’s lifespan with them in order to help guide them towards rising above their circumstances to achieve peaceful and successful lives. Nevertheless, I believe in a strengths-based approach and in a person’s ability to choose. My overall objective is to provide my clients with a safe space and necessary skills to achieve their therapeutic goals.
