Hello my name is Nieesha Prince, I am passionate about helping others on their journey while recognizing the interconnection of the mind, body and soul. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background of over 15 years’ experience and advanced formal education in mental health, individual & group counseling, client relations, case management, and crisis intervention. My education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from the historical black college, WV State University; along with a Master of Science degree in Social Work from University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. I pride myself on the ability to establish and maintain successful counseling relationships with persons from diverse backgrounds and ages. I utilize a holistic and integrative approach to help you find your happiness and regain control of your life by drawing from a variety of evidence based interventions, including Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I will provide a safe and confidential space with respect, empathy, genuineness, honesty and a little humor so that you feel comfortable while openly exploring your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors no matter the needs or circumstances. I strive to create opportunities to increase hope, recognize possibilities, and build purpose, along with reducing stress and decreasing anxiety. We will work together to identify goals and strategies changing those unresolved experiences into chapters in your book of life, not roadblocks to living.
