You are here because you need help. Plain and simple. Life is hard these days and you are looking for someone to help you heal and manage the stressors of everyday life.

One of my favorite phrases is Hakuna Matata. No worries, right? Yeah right! We all have stress and worry. We are all struggling with something. And that's where I come in-- I am passionate about helping people like you to learn to deal and cope with these stressors, to heal, and to feel better able to take on the world!

Along with helping people cope with stress, anxiety, feeling down and depression, I am trained in helping people to understand and manage the impact of past hurts and trauma. Yes, that pain might feel overwhelming and is currently permeating so many aspects of your life. While we cannot change what happened to you, we can change how much you feel it everyday and help you to feel safe, happy, and hopeful. We might be a great fit if you are a young adult (or young at heart) who is excited and motivated to get to work!

I also work with couples who are struggling in their relationships. I get it. Relationships are hard and take work to be successful. I LOVE and get EXCITED about helping couples like you to improve their relationship, communicate better with each other, feel heard and respected, and strengthen the bonds you have with each other.

Sometimes, relationships have run their course… so if you are looking for a supportive space to decide what are the best, next steps for you, then you can also reach out!

I use evidence-based practices to help you change your negative or harmful patterns of behavior, thinking, and to achieve personal growth. I tend to use an integrative approach to counseling, combining Person-Centered, Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), and Adoption Competency (TAC) techniques to ensure each individual receives treatment tailored to their specific needs.

I graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in Psychology. I received my M.A. in Counseling from the University of Missouri Kansas City with an emphasis in Couples and Family. I have worked in the mental/behavioral health field for 14+ years with various populations.
