Let’s face it; you’re the dependable go-to who wears all the hats. Perhaps for as long as you can recall, you’ve been the one who people turn to and depend on, though you may find it increasingly difficult for your own emotional needs to be met in kind. You take pride in your ability to execute and serve, despite the sense that burning the candle at both ends just isn’t working for you any longer. While you’re a motivated self-starter and a driven high-achiever, at times, the pressure to be all things to all people feels like the weight of the world on your shoulders.
Hear this – you’re not alone, your feelings are valid, and best of all, there’s help to be found. Work with me. As a systemically-trained therapist, my role is to journey alongside you, receiving your lived experiences to help assess the significance they play across the various domains of your life. When trouble occurs, together, we assess where it stems from, what purpose it serves, and how it’s maintained. My method of practice is rooted in an inclusive, strength-based framework which centers cultural competence and social justice, with the aim of empowering my clients through non-judgmental insight into their presenting concerns. Together, we can create a safe space for healing to occur.
I incorporate ongoing assessment and encourage feedback to ensure that your needs are met, while attending to the dynamics of power, privilege, and their impact on you. If desired, I also attend to the dynamic interplay between spirituality and holistic wellness, with an emphasis placed on Christian faith.
My areas of specialization include but are not limited to trauma & family of origin experiences, stress management, anxiety & depression, faith & wellness, mindfulness, imposter syndrome & perfectionism, communication & boundaries, dating & relationships, sex-related issues, couples therapy, and contextual matters relating to power, race, gender, identity & culture. Let’s connect to see if I’m the right fit for you.
