Description
I have over 20 years of experience helping individuals during life transitions such as crises, substance abuse recovery, and grief, to name a few. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Xavier University of Louisiana. I am currently licensed in Louisiana as an LPC-S and in Texas as an LPC.
I approach counseling from a cognitive-behavioral perspective in that patterns of thoughts and actions are explored in order to better understand your problems and to develop solutions. I am intentional about creating a safe space for reflection. I present as warm, insightful, and empathetic to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment that will focus on progress and not perfection.
Everyone experiences challenges and transitions during life. Therapy allows you time to process these changes as well as learn alternative ways to address them. Our therapeutic relationship will be a collaborative approach in which we explore and define problem situations, identify healthy skills to address, and develop future goals.
