My practice seeks to serve as many as possible but is centered on people who hold marginalized identities with special emphasis on Black people and those who identify as LGBTQIA+.
From learning how to implement new coping skills to better deal with everyday stressors to navigating your identity and/or mood disorders, I seek to utilize both evidenced-based techniques and cultural competence to create a safe environment where we can work together toward your goals.
There are no quick fixes in therapy and unfortunately, I don't know any magic tricks, but what I can promise is to help you process so that your areas of concern become a little less overwhelming and you feel a little more powerful. I work best with individuals and people who are partnered who are ready to recommit to and invest in their best selves.
The therapeutic relationship is all about fit, so you may have to "date" around to find the right fit, whether it's with me or another great clinician, keep that in mind as you pursue this journey. It is never too early to care for yourself and it's never too late to start again.
