Hello! My name is Monique Hill and I am a Masters Level Counselor and Registered Play Therapist In-Training. I received my Masters of Education in Professional Counseling at the University of West Georgia. I am currently working towards becoming a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. I have served as a therapist in both inpatient and outpatient hospitals as well as residential treatment centers including private practice and community mental health centers.
I have experience working with clients of all ages, gender, and ethnicities. I provide clients with a safe space to feel respected and heard. I have also supported clients with presenting problems including trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, codependency, grief, eating disorders, substance and alcohol abuse. I aim to empower my clients by promoting positive wellness, self-care, success in challenging negative self-talk, and the utilization of appropriate coping skills that increase emotional regulation. My theoretical approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, play therapy, and solution focused therapy.
I look forward to collaborating with you to achieve your treatment goals. I would be honored to walk with you through this journey.
