Description
Throughout our life journey, our stories get told by our family, community, oppressive systemic forces, etc. We often lose sight of our story, and therefore lose sight of ourselves. I work with folx who have lost the plot to their own story due to depression, anxiety, PTSD or C-PTSD, and attachment trauma from various painful connections throughout your life that has also made connecting to yourself that much more painful.
With the use of DBT, EMDR, IFS, Black feminist and spiritual based practice, my goal is to help you connect to the parts of yourself that are scared to be loved, don't think they are worth loving, or have given up on love in all of its forms. Especially the love for yourself. My hope is to support you in reconnecting and reclaiming your story with love.
What I have learned in my own journey is that in order to give ourselves a chance, we have to give our stories a chance to grow and have complex, nuanced story lines that encapsulate the fullness of who you are. We don’t have to be perfect in this journey. Just willing. So let’s be willing together!
