Description
Hello there! My name is Michaela Osehobo. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Yoga Teacher. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mercer University and Master of Education in Counselor Education from Georgia Southern University.
I am very interested in the mind-body connection, and commonly see psychological stress manifest physically in the body. As Black women in America, we often bear the stress of racial and sexual discrimination, interpersonal relationships, and generational trauma, not to mention the negative ideals we can hold about ourselves. I utilize person-centered, strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapy modalities in my mental health practice, alongside vinyasa, gentle, restorative, and yin yoga modalities to help my clients process these stressors, discover their inner truth, and work towards becoming the best version of themselves.
