Description

Through therapy, there is always a way to address the issues you face and learn coping strategies to help. I look forward to the opportunity to support you through this process. As a divorced mother of two young adult sons, navigating a healthy balance of career, family, co-parenting, etc.; has not always been easy. I work with women experiencing feelings associated with depression, anxiety, addiction recovery, codependency, and adjustment challenges (e.g. parenting, marriage, divorce, etc.) Together we will work through perceived barriers, until you emerge stronger, wiser, and empowered. We will work together to determine your goals and create a plan specifically for you to accomplish them.

Therapeutic approaches I most commonly utilize for positive changes come from a wide range of evidenced based treatment modalities (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment, Motivational Interviewing, etc.). I understand the importance of an individualized treatment approach, the genuineness of rapport building, the complexity of human behaviors, and the impact of environment and family systems.

I have worked with an eclectic demographic of clients with an attentiveness in women concerns. I offer my clients an empathic, open, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment in which they can feel safe and nurtured to grow. I believe that everyone has the ability to live a healthy and happy life, and working through the counseling process together, I can help you achieve your capabilities.

Assertiveness Training Group Therapy

This virtual group focuses on improving assertive communication. When we are un-assertive, we may walk away from situations with our needs unmet, feeling misunderstood or unheard, decreased feelings of self-worth, and a constant replay of the interaction with ruminating thoughts about what you should’ve said or done. The benefits of assertiveness include gaining self-confidence and self-esteem, understanding and recognizing your feelings, earning respect from others, improving communication, creating win-win situations, improving your decision-making skills, creating honest relationships, gaining more job satisfaction, and reducing anxiety and improving mood.

This group meets Tuesdays 8:30am-10am.
