Hey There! My name is Mautez Bethel, LCPC, NCC. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland, LC8127, as well as a National Certified Counselor. In my clinical experience, I have serviced adults, children and their families in both clinic and community-based settings. While I have worked with client’s with various mental health concerns, I specialize in trauma and life transitions impacting Women of Color. I also provide strategy consultation to help children diagnosed with ADHD.
Other mental health concerns I have experience with include, but are not limited to: Depression, Oppositional Defiance and Conduct with children, Grief and Loss, ADHD, Divorce, Incarceration, Anxiety, Self Esteem, Poor Social Skills, as well as School Behavioral Concerns and children with current IEP plans.
I completed my graduate studies at Marymount University, in Arlington, VA, obtaining a Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed my undergraduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University, in University Park, PA, obtaining my Bachelor of Art in Political Science with two minors in Women Studies and African American Studies. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and Maryland Counseling Association. Additionally, I am a proud and active member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.
