My name is Maurianna, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I have been practicing individual therapy, with adult clients, in a variety of settings since 2005. I have provided counseling and therapy services in community mental health centers, substance abuse (rehab/detox) facilities, and psychiatric hospitals and correctional environments. I trauma treatment but also specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders.
As a trauma therapist, I work with a number of clients who have experienced childhood trauma, traumatic events they have witnessed or have been a victim of (domestic abuse/violence, sexual assaults), as well as individuals who have served in the military. I believe they everyone should have the opportunity to heal from events in their life that they had no control over, nor should they have to continue to suffer, as a result of witnessing a traumatic event.
