Therapy seeks to address the patterns and unresolved material unique to each of us, which hampers our ability to connect meaningfully with others and limits our capacity for joy. I work with couples, adolescents, individuals, and families looking to deepen their understanding of themselves and work collaboratively to cultivate curiosity, authenticity, honesty, self-compassion, and the ability to tolerate difficult feelings.
I am a licensed practicing and nationally certified counselor associate, as well as a certified sex therapist candidate. My goal is to help you grow and gain insight into yourself and your struggles while acquiring the tools you need to face these struggles, and new struggles, on your own. As a former ABA Therapist, I fell in love with helping children, teens, and families receive the resources they need to be successful. I enjoy working with individuals and families of many different cultural backgrounds, ages, sexual identities, and challenges. In my therapy practice, I offer a validating and supportive environment for the LGBTQ+, poly, and kink community. At the core of my approach is empowering people to be and love their authentic self in a world that often shames and rejects anyone who falls outside the norm. Together we will explore, learn, and process what works best for you.
I have a knack for helping people identify how they approach their problems and the underlying processes that keep them stuck in a place of emotional struggle. While in that “stuck” place, people have a really hard time making new choices overall Narrative approach, pulling from other modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and SFT (Solution Focused Therapy). She offers Christian or secular counseling and utilizes a systemic therapy approach with an emphasis on family perspectives.
