I believe that relationship is the most important component for supporting real change. I am a client centered therapist who focuses on helping clients build better relationships with themselves and then others. I know all to well how easy it is to lose sight of yourself because you are trying so hard to please and do for others. You end up feeling empty, exhausted, hopeless, overwhelmed, resentful and maybe even lonely. All you truly want is somebody to care for you the same way you care for them. To see you. To value you. To understand you. Guess what? YOU are who you’ve been waiting for.

My clients describe me as relatable, caring and compassionate. I gently and meaningfully connect with clients to create a safe space to unlearn relationships patterns that no longer serve them. We work on improving self awareness and defining values and actions that nurture a relationship with self steeped in acceptance, value and respect. A relationship where you discover the true you - the one that’s buried under the layers of other’s expectations.

My passion and gift is helping women to uncover and walk in their power. I specialize in treating: depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, church hurt, substance abuse, low self esteem, parenting issues, stress and burnout, blended families and couples. I am an eclectic, person-centered therapist with a leaning toward Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

A graduate of Walden University with an MS in Clinical Counseling, I am also well versed in treating addictions. My years of experience in a multitude of settings including community mental health, outpatient addiction settings and private practice has equipped me with the skills necessary to nurture meaningful relationships with my clients that successfully result in the change they seek.

Areas of Expertise: life transitions (including motherhood and marriage), trauma, high performing adults struggling with self acceptance, stress and burnout, low self-esteem, perfectionism, faith based counseling and church hurt.
