Description

We can all be real, we live in a society where we feel pressured to have every box checked, meet unrealistic standards, and please everyone along the way. Often it feels like the clock just ticks louder, the standards get higher, and people around us just demand more and more. This is a recipe for disaster regularly landing everyday people in a slump of depression questioning the purpose of living. This can also lead to being plagued with anxiety, crippling you from living the quality of life you deserve.
The good news: there’s more on the menu than that. Whether you’re navigating life transitions like college, divorce, parenthood, the loss of a loved one, telling your family about your sexuality, or working through complex emotions around trauma, there is hope in store.

No one hands you a manual on how to win at adulting, so my passion is working primarily with individuals between the ages of 18-35 who are struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and other identity-related crises. My specialty is with college students in particular as I have nearly a decade of experience working in higher education. As a Haitian-born, first-generation graduate, I can identify with the struggles that minority students often face with little to no support from their families. It can be isolating and frustrating trying to find your way, but having the right therapist on your team makes all the difference!

I am a tell-it-like-it-is, down-to-Earth, sincere, and goofy therapist that uses the powerful elixir of motivation, optimism, humor, and unconditional acceptance to help my clients navigate to healing, whatever that looks like for them. I use an integrative and collaborative approach that is mostly person-centered, existential and holistically focused, and uniquely tailored to my clients with a multicultural lens in place. In plain English, we work together, side by side to uncover hope and write new chapters in your life using the power of mindfulness, reframing, and an array of tools you can use in and out of session.
