Marlo Wilson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) and a Licensed Professional School Counselor, and Student Advocate. She received her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from Norfolk State University, and her Master of Education from Virginia State University. She has over 17 years of experience working with children and young adults to increase academic, social and emotional well being, while helping them build positive thought patterns and recognize how emotions affect their actions/behaviors. She can support you in your area of need.
I have been very successful in working with children and young adults regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender, identity, or handicap. Working with children and young adults has been my strong suit. The theoretical orientation that will guide our sessions will be the Cognitive Behavior Model and the Multi-Systemic approaches.
Today, children and young adults have an enormous amount of pressure, through social media and the images that bombard them on the internet; and the unrealistic idea that they have to live up to the expectations that social media presents. Let me help navigate this time with you and build emotional capacity.
