As a mental health counselor (LMHC), I believe that everyone needs a safe space and trusted person to share their personal struggles. My style of counseling firstly focuses on the counselor client relationship. Using person centered approaches, I provide a safe space, where we as counselor and client develop a rapport, so you feel heard and understood. Once a trusting rapport is established, I will work with you at your own pace, through the stages of change, to help you accomplish your goals and achieve overall wellness.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Queens College and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John’s University. During my final year at St. John’s University, I interned at the PAC Program of Queens. During my internship, I worked with clients who struggled with substance abuse, anxiety, anger management and domestic violence.
